This is something of a beginners guide to starting your adventure.
March is coming to an end and the weather is starting to make you want to stay out a bit later, maybe you want to explore more and see more now that the sun is creeping out. You probably follow a few adventure pages on Instagram and you very much want to be like one of those adventurers who seems to always capture the best moments in the best countries around the world.
Here is the HOWL’s guide to get you started on your adventure
Now you’ve wandered and you’ve explored; it’s time to create.
No matter how you create, photography, writing, filming, painting even just telling people face-to-face, get your experience out there for people to connect with, the same way you were inspired let others be inspired by you.
Be courageous and show the rest of world something/somewhere they’ve never seen. The experience you’ve had through your eyes can’t be experience by anyone else unless you let them experience it.
And if for no other reason, it provides a way for you to look back at the experiences you’ve had and the people you’ve met.
Once you’ve gotten to your base destination it’s time to explore! Don’t just sit by your hotel pool and take a lot of photos. Go out, explore, get lost in town, climb the mountain, camp by the lake, swim in the sea, drink the local coffee, everywhere has a different culture to the last place even in the same country, explore what makes the people tick and experience it.
Say yes to going places with people, swim by a waterfall, explore everything you can and everywhere you can, exhaust yourself a little, and be open-minded and open-hearted to trying something new.
Come out of your comfort zone little by little, there is a great big world out there to explore.
One of the first things to figure out is what kind of adventurer are you? What do you want to see, experience and share? You might be a sun chaser, and want to go to every remote beach and Island you can find, or a hiker who wants to climb to peaks, camp and get the best pictures along the way, or you could be an extreme adventurer and you want to parachute off everything and go down the steepest mountain trails. No matter what kind of adventurer you are (and you can be a mix of many), it’s important to know.
Once you know, it is time to wander; go everywhere you think the adventure may be for you. And do this when it best suits you, it’s nothing you have to quit your day job for if you don’t want to. Plan it on a weekend, go to a different city right next to you, or a week long holiday to Hawaii to surf crazy waves or 2 weeks in Zambia and immerse yourself in the culture.
The important thing is that you wander, once you start you’ll find your flow in no time.
#Create #Explore #Wander that’s all it takes.
