Golden hour! As I like to call it, sunsets are different everywhere, different colours, different times of day all lead to different experiences.
Personally, I’m used to the beach and African sunsets, the type that drapes everywhere in that beautiful gold colour (hence golden hour). Roughly 4:30 pm, it almost feels like scheduled magic.
In the same way magic has the ability to make you gasp and quite literally take your breath away, that is the feeling I get with sunsets.
Sunsets don’t always have the most breathtaking views but the experience always is. Really be in the moment to realise this is the “day” coming to an end, it’s like watching the planet fall asleep
It allows you to get your mind lost, wandering in the sky, an exhilarating feeling; what’s great about it is it’s that time of day to grab a beer with some friends and live a moment.
For those evenings when nothing sounds better than a night in, I watch the sun say good night, meditate about the days adventure I’ve just had and I get ready to watch the sun wake up again.
Don’t believe in magic? What the sunset.
